    	Housing

Newts do not need a large cage. A 10 gallon tank is fine for one of these newts. The temperature should be kept around 82 F during the day, dropping to around 78 F at night. They come from a humid environment so the substrate should be misted daily to help maintain humidity. They like to live on both land and water.

		Maintenance

Bedding should be cleaned once a month. Waste should be removed weekly. Water dish should be changed daily, and as needed in order to keep clean.
